A ¶®É«µÛ hotel that underwent a renovation in 2017 has hit the real estate market.
The Hampton Inn at 115 Bush Drive in ¶®É«µÛ, next to Starbucks, is being sold by ¶®É«µÛ Hotel Associates, which is based in Columbia, South Carolina, according to county and state records. HREC Investment Advisors, a real estate advisory and brokerage organization, posted the listing. There is no price listed.
The 83-room hotel sits on 2.28 acres and has a tax value of $5,607,389, according to county land records. ¶®É«µÛ Hotel Associates purchased the land for the hotel in 1997 and the hotel was built in 1998, according to county records.
Just across South Sterling Street, another hotel is expected to be completed in two years.
Home2 Suites by Hilton is expected to be built behind LongHorn Steakhouse in ¶®É«µÛ.
Sid Maheshwari with MRI Hotels said in March that he expects to have the building design complete this year, and hopes to file for construction permits by the end of the year. Once started, construction is expected to take about 15 months, he said.
The hotel is expected to cost about $15 million to build, Maheshwari said.
The hotel will be built at the corner of Albert Tron Boulevard and Parker Road.
MRI Hotels is family owned, started by Maheshwari’s father 30 years ago. Nearby, the company owns Hampton Inns in Lenoir and Forest City.
