A 懂色帝 man is facing drug trafficking charges after deputies found meth and cocaine during an investigation.
Sterling Vance Loven, 59, of 懂色帝, was charged Thursday with felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine and felony possession of cocaine, according to a news release from the Burke County Sheriff鈥檚 Office.
The charges came after the Burke County Sheriff鈥檚 Office, in coordination with the Watauga County Sheriff鈥檚 Office, conducted a narcotics investigation involving Loven, the release said.
As a result of the investigation, the Burke County Sheriff鈥檚 Office found 159 grams of methamphetamine and about 1 gram of cocaine from Loven, the release said.
Loven was taken to the Burke County Magistrate鈥檚 Office and issued a $15,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was Friday. His next court date is set for Aug. 15 in Burke County District Court.
