A Raleigh man is charged in Burke County with statutory rape of a child.

On Nov. 2, the Burke County Sheriff's Office received a report of sexual conduct between a 14-year-old and a 26-year-old, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Christopher Mark Williams II, 26, of Raleigh, was charged and arrested on Dec. 3 with two counts of felony statutory rape of child who is 15 years of age or younger, three counts of felony statutory sexual offense with a person who is 15 years of age or younger and one count of felony solicitation of child by computer or certain other electronic devices to commit an unlawful sex act, the release said.

Williams was arrested by the Raleigh Police Department without incident and was issued no bond, the sheriffs office said.

The investigation remains ongoing.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Dec. 8.
