A Valdese man was charged with drug trafficking after Burke County deputies found 46 grams of cocaine at a Garrou Avenue SE residence.
William Raymon Code, 46, is charged with felony possession of cocaine, felony trafficking in cocaine, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine, felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, and felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
On July 18, the sheriff's office searched a home at 404 Garrou Avenue SE in Valdese. During the search, investigators seized 46 grams of cocaine, a pistol and a shotgun, the sheriff’s office said.
Code was arrested after the search on the felony possession of cocaine charge. The other charges were filed against Code later.
Code is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
