Terri and David Parker fell in love with Hidden Hill Venue & Conference Center when their daughter got married there. They decided to buy it and make other people’s events just as special.
With new life events including the arrival of grandchildren, the couple decided it’s time to let someone else own and run Hidden Hill.
The 4,790-square-foot conference center and surrounding 10.3 acres is on the real estate market for $3.2 million. The venue, located at 6572 Burkemont Road, ɫ, features a barn-style main structure that was built in 2017, according to Burke County land records.
The property sits on top of Burkemont Mountain at an elevation of 2,539 feet, according to its sale listing, which suggest the property can continue as a commercial property or be converted into a luxury estate.
The Parkers said they took a leap of faith when they decided to buy the property a year and a half after their daughter got married.
They hope whoever ends up buying it will cherish it as much as they do, Terri said.
In addition to weddings, they’ve hosted school proms, reunions, baby showers, engagements, corporate events and leadership retreats, she said.
“Now, as our own family grows, we’ve made the heartfelt decision to pass the torch,” she said. “It’s not easy letting go of something so dear, but we believe it’s time for someone new — someone who will love Hidden Hill as much as we have — to step in and continue the legacy.”
The sale includes all furnishings and equipment, website, social media, email and Limited Liability Company name, she said.
