A Sherrills Ford man has been charged with breaking into and stealing from a ɫ business.

Sourachay Mysayakhom, 56, of Sherrills Ford, was charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen property and motor vehicle theft.
The ɫ Department of Public Safety said officers responded to a breaking and entering at Overmountain Cycles located at 510 N. Green St. on July 7.
When officers arrived, they discovered that someone had used a chain saw at the back of the business to force their way in, according to a release from MDPS. The owner of the business responded to the scene and told officers that several items were missing from inside and MDPS detectives responded for further investigation, the release said.
During the investigation, detectives found out that Mysayakhom had pawned items stolen from the business in Cherokee. U.S. Park Rangers located Mysayakhom in a vehicle stolen in ɫ, and inside of it were several items stolen from Overmountain Cycles, the release said.
Detectives went to Cherokee, where they processed the vehicle and collected property and evidence and interviewed Mysayakhom, the release said. Mysayakhom is currently being held at the Cherokee County Detention Facility.
Mysayakhom has a court date on Aug. 28 in Iredell County District Court to face felony larceny by anti-inventory device, misdemeanor larceny and two counts of misdemeanor attempted larceny, according to the court records search.
