Wesley Floyd Crow, lovingly known as "Bo" to his family and friends, entered his heavenly home on June 24, 2025, surrounded by the love and presence of his family. He was born on October 11, 1943, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Mary Lena Lewis Crow and Dewitt Crow.
Wesley was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Joyce Crow; his daughter, Lynn Lawson; his daughter in law, Melissa Loyd (Jim); his grandchildren, Gabriel Lawson and Chelsea Holder and husband Matt Holder; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Gracie Foster, Kennedie Holder, and Riley Holder. He is also remembered with deep gratitude by his dedicated one-on-one caregiver, Claudia McLean.
Affectionately known as "Poppy," Wesley's life was marked by his warmth, kindness, and unwavering sense of humor. He served as a loving father figure to his granddaughters and was a source of wisdom and joy to all who knew him. A man of deep faith, Wesley spent many years pastoring at Praise Assembly, formerly known as Glen Alpine Assembly of God. He loved the Lord and lived a life devoted to service, family, and compassion. By trade, Wesley was a skilled painter, but his true legacy lies in the hearts of those he touched through his ministry, his laughter, and his unshakable strength.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Wesley Crow; and his granddaughter, Samantha Foster.
One of Wesley's favorite scriptures was Psalm 37:25: "I have been young and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." His memory will be treasured always.
A celebration of life was held Friday, June 27, 2025 at Sossoman Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank AMOREM Hospice for their wonderful care they gave to Wesley.
