Sit back, relax and enjoy a night out at one of these four free concerts in Catawba, Iredell and Burke counties.
Hickory
The city of Hickory’s Sails Original Music Series will feature New Orleans Blues band Sierra Green and The Giants on Friday at 7 p.m. The concert will be on Union Square in downtown Hickory.
In addition to the seating available at Union Square, audience members are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. A variety of bars and restaurants are close by and offer food and beverage choices.
¶®É«µÛ
Gotcha Groove will perform in ¶®É«µÛ at 7 p.m. on Friday. The concert will be at the Historic Burke County Courthouse Amphitheater Stage. The stage is located at 102 E. Union St. Food vendors will open at 6 p.m.
Gotcha Groove is a seven-member party band based in the Carolinas. The band covers R&B, soul, funk, rock, oldies, beach and dance tunes from the last nine decades.
Valdese
The Night Move Band is coming back to Valdese for the Family Friday Nights Summer Concert Series. The band will perform at Temple Field behind the Old Rock School on Friday.
The event will last from 7-10 p.m. Food vendors and lawn games will also be on-site. The Old Rock School is located at 400 Main St. W.
Troutman
Bluegrass Jam at the Park will be held in Troutman on Monday from 7-9 p.m. The event will be at the Troutman ESC Park located at 338 North Ave.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic and their instruments if they wish to participate in the jam session. The event is free and open to the public.
