Burke County government offices will be closed on Monday. The county landfill and convenience sites are expected to be open, according to the county website.

Catawba County
Catawba County government offices will be closed on Monday. County libraries and the animal shelter will be closed on Monday. Parks and the Blackburn Landfill will be open, according to the county’s website.

Hickory city offices will be closed on Monday. The offices will reopen on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
The Hickory Solid Waste Division and its collection services will operate on a normal schedule on Labor Day.

McDowell County
McDowell County government offices will be closed on Monday. The McDowell County libraries in Old Fort and Marion will be closed on Monday. The McDowell County convenience centers will be closed on Monday, according to the county’s website.
Marion city offices will be closed on Monday. There will be no garbage or brush collection on Monday, according to the city’s website.
Caldwell County
Caldwell County government offices and convenience sites will be closed on Monday. Convenience sites and county offices will reopen on Tuesday, the county said in a news release.
Lenoir City Hall and all recreational facilities will be closed on Monday. All garbage typically collected on Mondays will be collected on Wednesday, according to the city’s website.
Iredell County
Iredell County offices and services will be closed on Monday, the county said in a news release.
This includes Mooresville and Statesville location of the Department of Social Services, the elections office, the government center, all branches of the Iredell County Public Library, the register of deeds office, the tax office and veteran services, the county said.
The Iredell County Area Transportation System office will be closed on Monday. No routes will run. The Mooresville and Statesville offices of the Iredell County Public Health will be closed and there will be no mobile clinic, the county said.
All Iredell County Solid Waste facilities will be closed on Monday and will reopen on Tuesday, the county said.
Iredell County Animal Services will be closed on Monday. Iredell County Animal Control officers will only be responding to animal-related emergencies on Monday. For animal-related emergencies on Monday, call 704-878-5335, the county said.
The Iredell County Recreation Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday. Iredell County parks are open from dawn until dusk all year. Monday will be the last operating day of 2025 for the seasonal outdoor pool at the recreation center. The pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the county said. Daily admission to the pool is $4 for ages 12 and younger and $5 for anyone older than 12, according to the county’s website.
Statesville city offices will be closed on Monday. Garbage collection will be impacted, the city said in a news release.
Statesville residential sanitation routes scheduled for Monday will be collected on Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday residential routes will be collected on Wednesday. Commercial sanitation routes scheduled for Monday and Tuesday will be collected on Tuesday, the city said.

Alexander County government offices will be closed on Monday. All parks, convenience sites and the landfill will be open, according to the county’s website.
