Micah Parsons Traded To Packers In Record-Breaking Deal

Micah Parsons has been traded to the Green Bay Packers, with Dallas receiving Kenny Clark and two first-round picks in a blockbuster NFL move. Parsons will sign a four-year, $188 million deal in Green Bay, becoming the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. The trade ends a tense offseason saga that stretched into the Cowboys training camp and preseason without resolution. Parsons is one of three defenders to make the Pro Bowl in each of his first four seasons, joining Aaron Donald and Patrick Peterson. "I never wanted this chapter to end, but not everything was in my control," Parsons wrote on social media. Parsons' agent, David Mulugheta, was left out of talks, while Cowboys owner Jerry Jones negotiated directly with Parsons. Jones claimed they had agreed to contract parameters, but the deal fell apart after disagreements over representation and trust. Parsons has 52.2 career sacks, hitting at least 12 per season. Green Bay hasn’t had a 12-sack player since Za’Darius Smith recorded 12.5 in 2020.
