Catawba County offices will be closed on Monday. The Blackburn Landfill will be open, according to the county website.

Hickory city offices will be closed on Monday. The offices will reopen on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., the city said in a news release.

Hickory Solid Waste Division and its services, including garbage and recycling pickup, will operate on a normal schedule on Memorial Day.

Hickory Public Library, the Patrick Beaver Memorial main facility and the Ridgeview Branch, will be closed on Monday, May 26. The parks and recreation administrative offices and all recreation centers will be closed on Monday. Parks are open 365 days a year.

Newton city offices will be closed on Monday, according to the city’s website.

Conover city offices will be closed on Monday, according to the city’s website.

Maiden town offices will be closed on Monday, according to the town’s website.

Claremont city offices will be closed on Monday, according to the city’s website.

Long View town offices will be closed on Monday, according to the town’s website.

Catawba town offices will be closed on Monday according to the town’s website.

Iredell County

Iredell County offices and services will be closed on Monday. The departments that will be closed are animal control, both locations of the Department Social Services, the elections office, the government center, both locations of Iredell County Public Health, all three Iredell County libraries, the Iredell County Register of Deeds office, the tax office and veteran services, the county said in a news release.

The Iredell County Recreation Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday. The pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the county said.

Statesville city offices will be closed on Monday. There will be no garbage collection on that day. Monday’s residential garbage routes will be collected on Tuesday. Tuesday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday. All other route schedules will remain the same, according to the city’s website.

The Statesville Fitness and Activity Center will be closed. The Leisure Pool, Splash Pad, and Bentley Center will be open, according to the website.

McDowell County

McDowell County offices will be closed. The McDowell County Public Library will be closed, according to the county’s website.

Marion town offices will be closed on Monday, according to the town website.

Caldwell County

Caldwell County offices and convenience sites will be closed Monday, May 26, in recognition of Memorial Day, the county said in a news release.

The Caldwell County Payment Center, located at 4 Falls Avenue in Granite Falls, will be closed. Convenience sites and all offices will return to their regular operating schedule on Tuesday, the county said.

Lenoir City Hall will be closed on Monday. The Lenoir Aquatic & Fitness Center and Martin Luther King Jr. Center will be open, according to the city’s website.

The Lenoir Aquatic & Fitness Center outdoor pool will be open on Monday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for recreational swim. The Martin Luther King Jr. Center will be open as well from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for open gym and other activities. Mulberry Recreation Center will be closed, according to the city’s website.

Garbage routes will be affected. Monday routes will be collected on Wednesday, according to the city’s website.

Alexander County

Alexander County offices will be closed on Monday, according to the county website.

Taylorsville town offices will be closed on Monday, according to the town website.
